Pat Mann Phillips, a native Texas executive with a rich background rooted in agriculture, energy, and land development, brings more than three decades of extensive experience to her role as chairman of the board of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (HLSR). She leads the worlds largest livestock show and rodeo and one of the nations major scholarship providers with more than $600 million in educational commitment to Texas youth and education.
Working together with 35,000 volunteers, professional staff, corporate sponsors, private donors, and community partners, HLSR hosts an annual family friendly event that educates and entertains the public, promotes Texas youth through education, showcases western heritage, and provides educational opportunities for the Houston community, delivering an economic impact of more than $326 million annually to the greater Houston area.
Pats journey from a Texas ranch to the boardrooms of America's leading institutions is a narrative of dedication, strategic foresight, and an unwavering commitment to positive impact in service to others. She is a recognized leader serving on civic, corporate, and charitable boards including Greater Houston Partnership, 1932 Ventures, Amigas Para Niños, among others.
As a proud Texas Tech Red Raider, Pat earned BBAs in finance and petroleum land management and continues her work as an independent consultant. Pat and her husband, Tim Phillips, enjoy time together with family, friends, and volunteer service.
