Tom Mathiasmeier

With more than 33 years of experience in natural gas marketing and trading, Tom found his passion in the industry early in his career. He played a key role in growing ConocoPhillips into one of North America's top five gas marketers, a position it has held for over 20 years. Since 2008, Tom has led various divisions, including U.S. power, midstream, and the companys London office. In 2021, he expanded ConocoPhillips commercial LNG business, facilitating U.S. natural gas delivery to overseas markets to enhance global energy security. He also serves on the boards of the Southern Gas Association and Natural Gas Supply Association.
While attending Texas Tech, Tom walked on to the football team in 1985, eventually becoming team captain in 1989. He earned All-Conference Defensive End honors and was named to the Academic All-America team. His achievements on the field and in academics earned him a prestigious NCAA postgraduate scholarship.
A dedicated supporter of Texas Tech, Tom has served as ConocoPhillips executive sponsor at the university for over 20 years, is an emeritus member of the Rawls Advisory Council, and has contributed to the Texas Tech Foundation Board.
Tom and his wife, Colette, reside in Katy, Texas, with their four children. In his free time, Tom enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
