On March 30 to April 1, the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business hosted the 2023 Big 12 MBA Case Competition. Rawls College welcomed four-person teams from 10 of the Big 12 schools.

  1. Baylor University
  2. Brigham Young University (BYU)
  3. Iowa State University
  4. Kansas State University
  5. University of Kansas
  6. Oklahoma State University
  7. University of Oklahoma (OU)
  8. Texas Christian University
  9. Texas Tech University
  10. University of Houston
  11. West Virginia University

The competition was sponsored by Tyler Technologies, which provided each team with a real-world business problem. Teams had to assess the problem, research possible solutions and present their findings and recommendations. All of this was completed within 24 hours of first receiving the case. The entire judging panel consisted of 22 judges with representatives from Rawls College and Tyler Technologies.

Each team participated in the preliminary round, which consisted of a 15-minute presentation and a 5-minute Q&A session. Because presentations were given concurrently, each team presented to a small number of judges.

The top three teams moved on to the final round of presentations, where they presented to all 22 judges.
