About

Dr. Rasheek Irtisam is an assistant professor of practice in finance at the Rawls College of Business. His primary research interests include market microstructure, corporate finance, and textual analysis of corporate disclosures. Dr. Irtisam's paper has appeared in numerous academic conferences, including the American Finance Association (AFA) Poster Session, Financial Management Association (FMA), Midwest Finance Association (MFA), Eastern Finance Association (EFA), Southern Finance Association (SFA), and Southwestern Finance Association (SWFA). Most recently, his paper has been published at the Journal of Banking and Finance.

Dr. Irtisam received his PhD in Finance from the University of Memphis in 2022. Prior to that, he completed his MBA degree from McNeese State University and bachelor's degree from the University of Dhaka. At the Rawls College of Business, he teaches Corporate Finance I, Corporate Finance II, and Finance Statement Analysis course.
