About

Song is the Jerry S. Rawls Endowed Professor of MIS at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.
His primary area of research is the social and economic consequences of IT in data economy. He has investigated how the value of IT is perceived and influences business performance by counting on firms' dynamic capabilities. Recently, he has extended his study in the area of corporate digital responsibility in investigating the effect of digital intensity on companies' economic and social outcomes. Additionally, he is interested in the area of digital fairness.

Song's research findings have appeared in more than 50 refereed journal papers in Management Science, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, Journal of Strategic Information Systems and other journals. His research has been granted by various funding sources, including Best Buy Internet Buyer Research Centers, TTU Vice President for Research and others.
