John-Mariadoss, Babu


Dr. Babu John-Mariadoss is the J.B. Hoskins Professor of Marketing in the Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Texas Tech University and is currently an Associate Professor and the Ph.D. advisor for the Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He teaches MKT 4385 Marketing Strategy at the undergraduate level and MKT 5371 Measurements and Survey Research in Marketing at the graduate level. Dr. John-Mariadoss is the recipient of the Louis W. Stern Award from the American Marketing Association (AMA), the 'Mary Kay Dissertation Award' from the Academy of Marketing Science, and the 'AMA Sales SIG Doctoral Dissertation Award' from the AMA's Selling and Sales Management Special Interest Group. Dr. John-Mariadoss is an Editor of the International Journal of Public Opinion Research, and Associate Editor of Journal of International Marketing and European Journal of Marketing. Dr. John-Mariadoss has published his research in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Marketing Letters, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of International Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research and Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, among others.

Before joining Texas Tech University, Professor John-Mariadoss taught at Washington State University for 13 years. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration (major in marketing) from the University of Houston in 2007. He has an MBA (Marketing) from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India, and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India.
