In September, Texas Tech Theatre and Dance introduced something new to our social media platforms: the Instagram Takeover. These takeovers feature members of our program as they go about their days on campus, giving alumni, potential students, and all our other followers the inside scoop on the Red Raider theatre and dance experience. In the first iteration of this exciting series, Sebastian Archibald gave followers a behind-the-scenes look at his life as a performance major during the Wandelprobe (a rehearsal with the orchestra and minor blocking) for Fly By Night last month.

From dance class to mic check and everything in-between, Archibald documented his day on the Texas Tech Theatre and Dance Instagram page. He also answered questions from our followers about his role in the upcoming production and his time on campus. Archibald also journeyed off campus to show future students some of his personal favorite spots around town for coffee before making his way to Fly By Night rehearsals. 

There are many more takeovers to come before the semester with student designers, actors, dancers, and crew members sharing their experiences. This new series is an opportunity to reach potential students and highlight courses, signature experiences, and all the School has to offer through the eyes of their peers. These takeovers will also offer applicants insight into facets of student life that the School of Theatre and Dance cannot capture on a website.
