Keynote Session: Advancing Scholarly Teaching Practices and Evaluation of Teaching
Decades of research and scholarship provide us essential tools for enhancing our teaching,
improving our evaluations of teaching, and implementing these approaches. This interactive
talk will build on theories of teaching, learning, and institutional change to argue
for and share the results of change initiatives that advance our educational mission.
Workshop: Making Change Happen: Transforming the Evaluation of Teaching
This working session will review materials and approaches that build on longstanding
work to advance teaching evaluation in higher education. We will review a synthetic
framework that defines categories of quality practice, consider forms of evidence
collected from students, peers, and self-review, and approaches for implementation.
