Biography
Lara Mandrell, M.A., is a professional communication instructor and course director. With a master's degree in technical communication and over 20 years of teaching experience, Prof. Mandrell specializes in business communication, introducing students to managerial communication concepts and providing hands-on experience through workplace simulations. Since 2015, she has leveraged her expertise in instructional design, usability, and accessibility to deliver her courses exclusively online.
Prof. Mandrell is also an instructor at TTU's Highland Lakes campus (Marble Falls, TX) where she teaches in the Local Government Leadership Certificate Program, which empowers current and aspiring city leaders with knowledge and skills to successfully lead their organizations and serve their communities.
Beyond the classroom, Prof. Mandrell is a digital faculty consultant for McGraw-Hill, helping fellow educators nationwide to integrate digital teaching tools and enhance learning experiences. She is also a freelance copyeditor.
