 What is the Raider Relief Advocacy and Resource Center?

The Raider Relief Advocacy and Resource Center is being developed to support the needs of students and connect them with the most essential resources required to achieve academic goals as a Texas Tech University student. Those needs include but are not limited to: food, housing, financial education, and basic living supplies (clothing, kitchen essentials, toiletries, etc.) The university wants to help students stay enrolled in college and complete their education. Below you will find resources and support options to assist currently enrolled students.

Below is a listing of resources and services available via Texas Tech University, the City of Lubbock, Lubbock Community, or other external options. Please be advised, this is not an exhaustive list but a range of options.

Financial Support

  • Student Financial Aid
    • Provides sources to increase the university's affordability.  This may include scholarships, grants, student employment, student loans and waivers.
  • Scholarships
    • Administers Scholarships and Applications
  • Student Business Services
    • Process tuition and fee billing and assist with loans.
  • Book Loan
    • Eligible Undergraduate, Graduate, and Law students may apply for a Book Loan in an  amount less than or equal to $500 each semester.
  • Short Term Loan
    • Short term funding for college-related expenses
  • Raider Relief Fund
    • Please review the Raider Relief Fund guidelines prior to application. Awards for eligible students to assist with continued enrollment. An application is required and can be accessed here
  • Office of International Affairs
    • Provides scholarships, financial aid, and internship opportunities to International students
  • Tution Insurance 
    • Texas Tech Universtiy has negotiated with GradGuard to provide our families with tuition insurance.

Those needs include but are not limited to: food, housing, transportation, child care, financial education and support, academic supply support, and basic living supplies. 

Please complete the Raider Relief-Advocacy and Resource Center Referral form so we can best assist you. 

After your form is submitted, you will be contacted by a staff member in Raider Relief - Advocacy and Resource Center (RR-ARC) to schedule a meeting to assist you.
