Why do you like being a member of the Dean's Student Council?

I am involved in a variety of organizations here at Texas Tech, but without a doubt my favorite is the Dean's Student Council. The reason for this lies in the tangible change we are able to create as a group, as well as the community we have built within the council. Having the opportunity to sit amongst peers representing the student body and discuss what is going on within Rawls with Dean Williams is an empowering position to be in. Additionally, the relationships we have built are something that go beyond just our meetings. Whether you are a first year or graduate student, everyone is viewed equally within the council and has something valuable to bring to the table. DSC is something I am very proud to be a part of and I look forward to our meetings each month.
