Janet Huston is an assistant professor of practice in the School of Accounting (SOA) at the Rawls College of Business. She joined the SOA in September of 2018.

Professor Huston received her PhD in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 2010 and has previously served on the faculty at University of South Florida and Arizona State University. She received her undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from Auburn University and interned in the private client services division at Deloitte in Atlanta, GA.

She currently teaches Accounting Research and Communication in the Master's in Accounting program and Introduction to Financial Accounting. Her research has been published in Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Human Resource Management, Issues in Accounting Education and Business Horizons.
