About

Laura Beth Pleasant is originally from Willis, Texas, which is about 45 miles north of Houston. She was raised on a small farm where she raised animals and eventually received agriculture scholarships that brought her out to Texas Tech University. Laura Beth received both her undergraduate and law degrees from Texas Tech. She graduated in 2002 with a degree in agricultural education and then earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2006.

During her second year of law school, Laura Beth discovered a passion for estate and business planning and elder law. She is attracted to the counseling aspect of the law that allows her the opportunity to build relationships with clients and guide them through necessary life decisions.

Before entering a career in the legal field, Laura Beth coached cheerleading and taught high school students in the areas of government, history and constitutional law at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe, Texas. That experience combined with her law and education degrees led her into her position at Texas Tech University. Laura Beth is passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students.
