About
Munhee Han is an assistant professor in finance at the Rawls College of Business at
Texas Tech University. Prior to joining TTU, she was a research assistant professor
in finance at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She obtained her PhD in finance with
Scholar of Distinction from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2020. She received
her MS in finance with an Outstanding Student Award from University at Buffalo in
2014 and her BS from Sookmyung Women's University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2012.
She primarily studies mutual funds and other institutional investors. Her research
interests also include market microstructure topics such as liquidity and trading
costs. Her research has been awarded the Outstanding Paper award in Investment at
the Eastern Finance Association Annual Meeting and presented at many prestigious conferences
such as Western Finance Association Annual Meeting.
