About

Shuo Yu is an assistant professor in information systems and quantitative sciences at Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. He received his PhD in management information systems from the University of Arizona.

Yu's research interest lies in data science with a focus on mobile health analytics, cybersecurity, online community and e-commerce using interpretable deep learning and text mining methodologies. His work has been published or accepted in such journals as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, IEEE Intelligent Systems and others.

Yu has been teaching ISQS 5342: Big Data Security, ISQS 3360: Information Security, and ISQS 3345: Data Analytics Tools. He is a member of AIS.
