Dawn Valentine earned her Ph.D. in Health Services Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Center for Outcomes Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE) funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Dr. Valentine has been teaching marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate level for more than 20 years. Her past research includes 36 refereed journal articles, with a recent article in the Journal of Public Health (Almetric attention score of 608), as well as 31 conference papers, three of which received awards for best paper. Her current research interests include topics in consumer behavior, customer satisfaction, social responsibility, and direct selling strategies. She is currently a Fellow for the Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF).
