About
Phillip Wiseman is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Texas Tech University. His research focuses on (1) how firms can train and motivate their sales forces to achieve greater business outcomes, (2) how salespeople can leverage advances in digital technologies to enhance their performance, and (3) how salesperson relationship marketing strategies can be effectively applied. His research has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of International Marketing. Through his scholarship, he has collaborated with Fortune 500 firms in industries such as pharmaceuticals, energy, and hospitality to support their efforts to enhance salesperson performance.His industry experience includes working as a business analyst for a technology and management consulting firm servicing financial institutions. As a business analyst, he was responsible for working with clients to develop proprietary software applications for business processes related to online banking, cash logistics, and trade finance. He also has experience in marketing and operations within the hospitality and education services industries.
Phillip received a B.A. in Sociology from The George Washington University, an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business, where he graduated first in class, and a Ph.D. from the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business, where he graduated with honors.
