Rawls Research supports faculty scholarship through funding opportunities for scholarly publishing and external grant development, as well as through grant proposal and award management support.

Internal Funding

• Summer Research Grant

  Rawls Research provides competitive summer research funding to tenure-track and tenured faculty members so that they can continue to work on high-quality academic research during the summer.

• Data Collection Grant

  Funding support of up to $5,000 is available for smaller-scale data collection efforts connected to larger research initiatives.

  Eligible requests may include:

  • Data acquisition
  • Coding support
  • Equipment
  • Research supplies
  • Data collection travel

External Funding

• Sponsored Research Project Support

  The Rawls Research team provides guidance for faculty pursuing external funding of research projects, including facilitation of proposal development and submission at the Pre Award stage. At the Post Award stage, guidance is available to support award management,  accounting and compliance.
