Realized Project
Students have at least one realized project each semester

The Design track prepares B.F.A. students for work in the professional live entertainment industry.
After completing a core curriculum ranging from visualization strategies to process refinement, students declare their primary and secondary areas of interest. The program maximizes and expands each students talents and interests in the full range of design and technology disciplines through a blend of traditional coursework and experiential learning during the production season.
Not only will students have opportunities to take on a major design role or production assignment each semester, but the program also encourages participation in travel, research, and professional activities to enrich their educational experience.
By integrating scholarship with portfolio development and encouraging artistic exploration and experimentation, the program offers both rigor and opportunity for students to grow as creative professionals.
Students are required to take on a major production role each semester, meaning that they are able to maximize their work in the classroom through realized design and also take work from page to stage in a realized portfolio.
Additional benefits of the program include a small student-to-faculty ratio, the opportunity to teach at the undergraduate level, a competitive professional network, and access to world-class facilities, faculty, and opportunity to exercise skills within a range of artistic genres, settings, and disciplines.
