Dr. Niland is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education and The Burkhart Center for Autism Education and Research. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst- Doctoral with over 12 years of experience in applied behavior analysis and early intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Dr. Niland has supervised applied and research experiences for graduate and undergraduate students in behavior analysis and related fields across university-based and in-home ABA clinics, non-profit organizations, and inclusive preschools. Dr. Niland’s primary research interests include behavioral assessment and skill acquisition interventions for children with ASD, applications of technology to improve supervision and service delivery, verbal behavior, measuring and improving procedural fidelity, and reducing disparities in access to behavioral intervention.
