Dr. Ericson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education and the Virginia Murray Sowell Center for Research and Education in Sensory Disabilities. She is also a teacher of students with visual impairments (TSVI) and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) with over ten years experience in the field of special education. Dr. Ericson received her Ph.D. in Educational Studies from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where her doctoral research examined performance evaluations for itinerant TSVIs. Her current research focuses on the preparation and professional development of teachers of students with sensory disabilities.
