Livestream Venue Reservation Form
Spring 2021 Degree Recital Recording
- Digital Projects and Performances are still preferred due to the ongoing public health crisis
- This form may only be submitted by faculty
- Check availability prior to submitting requests
- Reservations will be processed in order of receipt while the calendar is open for the recital type scheduled
- Early requests will not be accepted!
Locations
Hemmle Recital Hall start times are 12:00PM, 2:00PM, 4:00PM, 6:00PM, 8:00PM
Choir Hall start times are 1:00PM, 3:00PM. 5:00PM, 7:00PM.
Hance Chapel is available to the School of Music without additional coordination on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings with 8:00PM start times. All other days and times must be requested on this form and require additional approval by Hance Chapel staff.
Lubbock Garden & Arts Center is available for events. These must be requested on this form and require additional approval by Garden & Arts Center staff
Instrumental Accompanist Information
Staff/Faculty accompanists in the instrumental area will only be available on specific days as outlined below. These do not apply to the voice area. Voice area policies are TBD.
Staff/Faculty accompanists will be available for a limited number of recording/livestream events in a face-to-face setting with a hybrid modality. Graduate and Undergraduate student accompanists will only be available for projects delivered entirely remotely.
Face-to-face Interactions
Face-to-face interactions with staff/ faculty accompanists will only will only take place on the following dates:
- Feb 20-21
- March 13-14
- April 10-11; April 24-25 in the Choir Hall
- May 1-2 in Hemmle Recital Hall
If assigned a pianist, the student will receive a rehearsal and recording date during those blocks for up to 30 minutes of repertoire. This is intended to limit the amount of face-to-face exposure for our accompanists by limiting contact time to specific weekends and to allow individual accompanists agency in determining any additional performing risk.
A requested date and time for this hybrid face-to-face accompaniment will be available on the piano accompanist sign-up form. You do not need to fill out this venue request form if you anticipate signing up for a pianist, however you still may wish to do so as piano accompaniment is not guaranteed.
Applying for a live hybrid project does not preclude any recitalist from booking a separate individual date in any other available recital venue, and this is encouraged for the purposes of recording unaccompanied works, chamber works, or play-along with recordings; however, no face-to-face accompanist services will be available for that additional event. Pianists are only available during the dates listed above.
Dress Rehearsal
Dress rehearsals may be scheduled when the performance calendar is closed or three weeks prior to the requested date, whichever is earlier.
Programs and Crew Requests
Stage crew assistance is provided for Hemmle Recital Hall and Hance Chapel reservations
During the public health crisis, stage crew assistance will be available for Choir Hall reservations during Spring 2021 only.
Lubbock Garden & Arts Center staff may assist with event setup in that location, however no School of Music setup assistance will be provided.
