Eva Browning Artist Series

The Texas Tech University School of Music is proud to present the second annual Eva Browning Artist Series. This concert series showcases Texas Tech's own Eva Browning Artist in Residence, Daniel del Pino, along with prominent guest artists and acclaimed chamber ensembles. This year, the series features Prof. del Pino joined by two notable guest musicians: double bassist Alberto Bocini, Principal Double Bass of the Orchestra Nazionale dell'Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, and clarinetist José Franch Ballester, multi-award-winning performer and recording artist and professor at the University of British Columbia School of Music . The series closes with a piano duo recital by Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung, first-prize winners of the 1989 Stravinsky International Piano Competition (Chung), the 1997 Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (Bax), and the 2000 Leeds International Piano Competition (Bax). The husband-wife pair are consistently praised for their remarkable technique and superb lyricism. 

The 2025-2026 Eva Browning Artist Series continues our tradition of artistic excellence by welcoming unparalleled artists to perform for our University and Lubbock communities.
