At the undergraduate level, the Texas Tech School of Music offers a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) degree in Performance, which allows students to specialize in performance areas such as voice, jazz, piano, as well as individual string, brass, woodwind, or percussion instruments. The curriculum includes a combination of private lessons, performance opportunities in solo, chamber, and large ensembles, and academic courses in music theory, music humanities, and musicology to prepare graduates for varied opportunities and careers within the performance realm.
