Texas Tech University Bands Conducting Workshop

The Texas Tech University Bands will be hosting the Texas Tech University Bands Conducting Workshop on Friday, January 29, through Sunday, January 31, 2027. The TTU Bands Conducting Workshop is open to conductors of all levels. Participating conductors will be able to conduct a combination of the Texas Tech University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Wind Ensemble Chamber Winds. There are 18 conductor spots and an unlimited number of auditors. Participation as a conductor in the 2027 workshop will be determined after thorough review of all applications. Notification of acceptance will be sent out in mid-November. 

Clinician: Dr. Sarah McKoin, Director of Bands, Texas Tech University

Guest clinician: Dr. Mallory Thompson, Professor Emeritus, Northwestern University

Conducting Participant: $450
Current Graduate Student Participant: $300
Auditor: $100
