Graduate Studies in Choral Conducting

Graduate study in Choral Conducting at Texas Tech University follows two paths, leading to these degress:

Students accepted into the program experience an immersive environment with a strong focus on choral literature, artistic conducting, and rehearsal pedagogy. Graduate conductors enjoy significant podium time both as teaching assistants and as primary conductors for selected TTU choirs. The flexible course of study allows one to pursue interests in vocal pedagogy, music theory, musicology, and other related areas of study. Graduates of the Choral Conducting Program at Texas Tech University currently work at colleges and universities throughout the country, as well as in secondary settings and sacred institutions. They are also involved in positions of leadership at state and national levels through TCDA, TMEA, ACDA, and other professional organizations.
