About

Charles Long is the associate managing director of the Free Market Institute and an instructor of applied business economics in the Area of Energy Commerce & Business Economics in the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration at Texas Tech University.

 

Charles also serves the Southern Economic Association, The Association of Private Enterprise Education and The Mont Pelerin Society, all of which have operations based at the Free Market Institute.

 

Charles earned his BBA in economics from Loyola University New Orleans and MS in economic policy from Suffolk University. Prior to joining Texas Tech University, he worked in purchasing for a wholesale distribution company outside of Philadelphia.

 

He has also worked in fundraising for a DC-based education reform non-profit organization and completed a non-profit management training program while working as a program associate for a charitable foundation.
