About

Tingting Yan is a Jerry S. Rawls Endowed Professor of Supply Chain Management in the Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. She is a co-editor in chief for the Journal of Supply Chain Management, a leading academic journal in the field of supply chain management. She also serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Operations Management, and is an editorial board reviewer for the Journal of Business Logistics.

Her research is primarily around answering one question: How could a firm better innovate for sustainability by leverage resources in its supply network as well as those in suppliers’ extended networks? She uses a wide diversity of research methodologies and data sources, such as surveys, interviews, secondary quantitative data, experiments (lab, vignette, field intervention), simulations, etc.

Her work has been published in the Journal of Operations Management, the Journal of Supply Chain Management, Decision Sciences, the International Journal of Production Economics, the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, etc.
