Why German?

German is spoken by over 135 million people worldwide. Germany is a political leader in Europe, a leader in developing new technologies, and has the largest economy in the European Union. Students enjoy learning German for international commerce, business, tourism, science & research, and the arts. We offer a major (B.A. in Languages & Cultures – German) and minor in German and the German program collaborates with the College of Education for teacher certification in German.
