French Program
Why French?
About 267 million people speak French worldwide. French is an official administrative
language in many organizations such as the African Union, the International Court
of Justice, the International Olympic Committee, and the United Nations. Students
may benefit from knowing
French for various career fields that include education, business and industry, and
international affairs. Our program offers a major (B.A. in Languages & Cultures –
French) or minor in French and the French program collaborates with the College of
Education for teacher certification in French.
