When I first set foot in Lubbock as a freshman in 2017, little did I know that my life was about to take a remarkable turn for the better. Over the course of four transformative years in the College of Media & Communication at Texas Tech, I encountered numerous obstacles that made me question my capabilities and whether I'd ever measure up to the person I envisioned in the future. Yet, it was the unwavering support and invaluable opportunities provided by my professors that propelled me to where I stand today – on the cusp of living out my passion and launching the number one lifestyle show in the Lowcountry for Live 5 News (WCSC).

Whether I needed guidance, advice, or simply a nudge in the right direction, my professors were always there, generously offering their time and expertise to help me move closer to my dreams.

From the outset of my college journey, I recognized the importance of seizing every opportunity, especially through Texas Tech's array of on-campus jobs, to begin crafting my professional identity and bolstering my resume. I quickly learned to leverage the abundant resources available on campus to enrich my academic pursuits and feed my ambitions. Whether I needed guidance, advice, or simply a nudge in the right direction, my professors were always there, generously offering their time and expertise to help me move closer to my dreams.

Reflecting on my time at Texas Tech fills me with a profound sense of gratitude. It's where some of my fondest memories were made, where I honed my skills, and where I forged lifelong friendships. As I embark on this new chapter of my journey, I carry with me the invaluable lessons and experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today, forever indebted to the transformative power of education and mentorship in the College of Media & Communication.
