JCMIFest Audio/Video Competition Showcased Student Talent

JCMIFest Judges

JCMIFest is an annual showcase and celebration of excellent audio and video production created by students in the Journalism & Creative Media Industries program. Over 100 people attended the event and screened 20 submissions over 2.5 hours. Cash prizes were awarded to the best audio and best video production, with the best video automatically entered into the Annual Flatlands Film Festival Shorts Program. Judges included Michael Ortiz of Texas Tech Communications & Marketing, and Trace Thomas of GriffinWink.

Best of Show AUDIO: Walker Duke of Walker and the White Lines with their original song titled House of Nails

Best of Show VIDEO: 3:66, a thriller short film produced by Jadon Chesnutt, Chad Williamson, Omar Cantero, Ryder Foix, Angel Portillo, and Cameron Zapata

Audience Choice Award: Skinface by Mateo Bernard
