Biography
Dr. Beaudin has over 20 years of professional and academic experience in communication.
While working for a building trades association as a graphic designer and director
of member services, she earned her Master's degree in English at Southern Connecticut
State University (SCSU). After serving two years at SCSU as a Visiting Assistant Professor,
Andrea came to Texas Tech to pursue her doctorate in Technical Communication and Rhetoric.
During her graduate studies at Tech, she discovered her love for information design,
UX, and accessibility.
Since earning her Ph.D., she has taught on-site, online, and hybrid courses in communication
as well as media design and technologies. As her schedule permits, she provides design
services for various non-profit organizations.
