KTXT-FM is the official student radio station to serve as a public forum for the campus community of Texas Tech University while providing practical experience for all students regardless of their academic major. KTXT-FM seeks to inform, educate and entertain its listeners while providing students working at the station a meaningful job experience and an outlet to showcase their academic experience. KTXT-FM is managed and staffed by students with oversight by a full-time manager through Technology Services in the College of Media & Communication.
