Professor Linh Huynh received a PhD in Applied Mathematics in August 2022 from Case Western Reserve University, where she was also affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic. Before joining Texas Tech University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics in Fall 2026, she was a postdoc at Dartmouth College, where she appreciated its globally minded liberal arts education. She does research in Applied Probability & Stochastic Processes and its intersections with Mathematical Biology, Operations Research, and Uncertainty Quantification. Her research program focuses particularly on developing mathematical, statistical, and computational methods for applications in Eco-Evolutionary Medicine and Human-AI Interaction. She served as an Elected Co-Chair of the Mathematical Oncology Subgroup of the Society for Mathematical Biology from 2023 to 2025. She has designed three distinct courses on Probability from three different perspectives: for Finance & Economics, for Computer Science & Data Science, and for Artificial Intelligence & Society, integrating her research into teaching. She has mentored many students and supported their career success, especially through journal publications and conference presentations.
