Honors Medallion Ceremony Information
What is it?
- Twice a year, the TTU Honors College hosts the Honors College Medallion Ceremony, during which graduates are presented with an Honors medallion to be worn at commencement with the students' graduation regalia. This ceremony celebrates seniors graduating with Honors and highest Honors. Spring and summer graduates are honored in May, and fall graduates are honored in December.
Honors Intent to Graduate

TTU Commencement Information
- The Honors College Medallion Ceremony is a seprate event from Texas Tech commencement.
This event is to celebrate graduating Honors students and present them with their
Honors Medallion.

- This form only accepts one response per person. If you would like to confirm that
your form was submitted, please contact Honors.graduation@ttu.edu

Honors With Gratitude Video
- Honors College tradition calls on graduating seniors to submit a photo thanking their
loved ones for their investment in your TTU journey. Your photo will be included in
a video that will be played at the Medallion Ceremony.
- Please submit your With Gratitude photo at the link below by November 13, 2026

- If you need inspiration for your photo, previous “With Gratitude” videos can be found
on our Honors YouTube Page linked here.
Information For Students
- Wardrobe: Graduation regalia. This includes your graduation robe and any cords and/or sashes.
Do not bring your cap. Please leave any bags and/or purses at home or with family
members or guests as there will not be a safe place to store them. The clear bag policy
will still apply to graduates.
- Check-In Process: Check in will be between 10:00am-10:40am at the Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Theatre. This is where we will prep you before the processional
into the Theatre. We will begin giving instructions at 10:45am, so please don’t be late!
- After the Ceremony: There will be a formal recessional out of the Medallion Ceremony. You will be led
by an Honors staff member to another space at the Theatre for a class photo. Once
we have completed the photo, you will be able to join your guests.
Arrival for Guests
- Arrival: Doors will open at 10:00am for guests.
- Parking and Entrance: The Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Theatre is located at 2812 18th Street, Lubbock, TX, 79410
- Attendees of the Medallion Ceremony will be able to park in the Z3 parking lots (highlighted in yellow) for the event. We have included a map below for your convenience. See map below
for guest entrance.
- ADA Accommodations: ADA Parking is highlighted in blue on the map below.
