Personal Financial Planning Master of Science Program for Working Professionals
Program Overview
The hybrid-style delivery of this master's degree will meet the needs of practicing financial service professionals. With the strategic selection of electives, students can also earn a graduate certificate in Charitable Financial Planning or in Life-Centered Financial Planning.
Classes are offered as a combination of face-to-face instruction and online delivery. Over the course of five semesters, students will spend four weekends per semester learning from top educators and practitioners in the financial planning industry. The monthly classes meet during the evening on Friday and during the day on Saturday. This program combines the prestige of earning a master's degree with the convenience of attending classes at your workplace campus.
Curriculum
The Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning degree requires 36 hours of curriculum. The degree plan is a CFP Board-Registered financial planning program. In addition to fulfilling the CFP Board coursework requirement, unique electives in charitable giving, life-centered planning, technology, and more are also available.
The Personal Financial Planning program at Texas Tech was recently ranked #1 by Wealth Management magazine. Studying with colleagues who share industry experience and learning from world-class faculty allows for more in-depth topic coverage than found in traditional financial planning classroom settings.
