Personal Financial Planning

PFP Student Organizations

Texas Tech Personal Financial Planning students are encouraged to join student organizations within the department. These student organizations allow students to network with each other and hear from industry leaders.

Entrepreneurs In Risk Management

The Entrepreneurs in Risk Management are dedicated to educating their members on niche markets of the financial services industry. They collaborate with experts from all over the country who educate and mentor their members. This organization has been able to introduce PFP students to different sectors of the financial services industry. Their meetings allow PFP students to drill much deeper into specialized topics and gain insight from experts in the field.

Personal Financial Planning Ambassadors

The Personal Financial Planning Ambassadors are a group of students who help within many areas of the PFP department. These areas include: assisting faculty and staff with department events such as Opportunity Days, recruiting prospective students from on and off campus, and looking for improvements to the major so that students will benefit as much as possible. PFP Ambassadors are responsible for developing a "boot camp" for PFP students to help with mock interviews, resumes, and professional development.
