OIA’s Randi Stevens Receives Matador Award

Randi Stevens

Congratulations to Mrs. Randi Stevens, recipient of the 2018 Matador Award. Mrs. Stevens was honored for her commitment and service to Texas Tech University during the Distinguished Staff Awards in November.

Last year Randi Stevens transitioned into a new role as the Facility and Events Manager for the Office of International Affairs (OIA). Since this time, she has increased the revenue for facility rentals, managed several building improvement projects, and helped design signage for visitors coming to the International Cultural Center (ICC), all the while serving on various committees and developing partnerships with campus and community stakeholders to promote the international mission of OIA. In January of 2018, she was promoted to Assistant Director of the K-12 Global Education Outreach (GEO) unit in addition to her duties as facilities manager. While juggling all of these duties, Randi led the GEO team, winner of the prestigious Simon Spotlight Award, to serve over 25,000 people through the K-12 outreach mission. Randi's dedication to Texas Tech is evident in her day-to-day interactions with our students, staff, faculty members, partners, and as an active member of the Lubbock community.
