Thomas G. Hall '81

Tom Hall is a native Texan, a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law, and a die-hard Red Raider fan. His belief in giving back to those who gave him a chance has led him to serve as President of the Law School Foundation, teach at the law school, and provide donations and scholarships—hoping to make a difference in the lives of young lawyers the way others made a difference in his. An experienced and skilled attorney, Tom is also Board Certified in Personal Injury since 1988 by the State Bar of Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He served six years with the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the State Bar of Texas. He was invited to join the American Board of Trial Advocates and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He has served on the Board of Trustees at Austin College for 16 years, as a member of the executive committee for several years and is one of Austin College's litigation attorneys. Tom is AV rated by Martindale Hubble and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for over ten years. He has recovered more than a million dollars for over 50 of his clients. Tom enjoys hunting, riding ATVs, and spending time with his family at his ranch in Palo Pinto. He loves fishing, and a passion is his annual trip to Alaska to catch silver salmon. An exceptional lawyer who believes in "paying it forward" and helping his neighbors in any way he can, Tom was selected to receive the 2008 Texas Tech Law Distinguished Service Award.
