Since it opened last October, Hemmle Recital Hall has hosted nearly 30 concerts. Students in ensembles of all sizes, both undergraduate and graduate, major and non-major, have had the opportunity to perform in this incredible space. Plus, the revamped Hemmle has drawn guest artists from around the globe.
Audiences have enjoyed comfortable new seating and a stylish space that reflects the cutting-edge work happening in the School of Music. Of course, the improved acoustics have made the biggest difference, from both the house and the stage. Hemmles new sound helps School of Music student, faculty, and guest performers let their artistry shine. Performers are thrilled by the resonance of the space, and that there is no need to work too hard to project.
Below, you can find some Hemmle highlights from this past fall. This spring, there are even more events showcasing musicians in Hemmle Recital Hall. Check out the School of Music Event Calendar and Facebook page to find out when you can next experience our new sound.
