January 17 - 19, 2025 are the dates for the 22nd Annual Big 12 Trombone Conference.
The 23rd Annual Big 12 Trombone Conferrence is
scheduled to take place January 16 - 18, 2026.
We are very pleased to announce that the Feature Guest Artist is renowed jazz, film and commencial artist Andy Martin.

Call for Proposals
If you would like to submit a clinic proposal for the 2026 conference, or if your student or professional ensemble would like to perform at the conference, please email conference coordinator James T. Decker.
Please include the title and brief synopsis of a clinic. New performing groups may submit up to 10 minutes of music from a recent recording in either a video or audio format.

We are pleased to announce the repertoire for the 2026 Big 12 Solo Competitions!
Big 12 Tenor Trombone Solo Competition:
Preliminary Round: Handel – Concerto in F Minor, Movements 1 and 2 (International)
Final Round - Dutilleux – Chorale, Cadence et Fugato (Leduc)
Big 12 Bach Bass Trombone Solo Competition:
Preliminary Round - Hindemith – “Three Easy Pieces” (Schott)
Final Round - Casterede – “Sonatine for Tuba and Piano” movements 2 and 3 (Leduc)

CONFERENCE LOCATION
The Texas Tech University School of Music is located at the corner of 18th & Boston Avenue in Lubbock. The parking lot in front of the School of Music is free-to-park on Saturday and Sunday. If you arrive on Friday for Registration, you will need to pay the automatic parking kiosk in order to ensure that you do not receive a ticket. The kiosks do accept debit/credit cards. Friday parking regulations are in effect until 8:00p.m.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
If you are flying into Lubbock and are relying on ground transportation, the city features a bus system that has dedicated routes to Texas Tech University. For further information about the "CitiBus" schedules and fares, please visit their web site.
