Meet the OASP Team

The OASP Team combines their years of law school and practice experience to help students succeed at all levels of their legal education. Students may choose to meet with one or both of us, and we work collaboratively to support those students that we assist.

Director Erica M. Lux has been helping students with their educational goals for over 10 years, in a variety of academic- and student-support roles. As a student at Texas Tech Law, she was a Civil Procedure and Property first-year tutor, the Managing Editor for Texas Tech Law Review, and she competed in intramural and national advocacy competitions. Erica graduated in 2021 from Texas Tech Law, passed the bar exam, and gained valuable experience as a commercial litigator in Dallas. Now, she provides individual and group-oriented academic support to students of all levels, teaches multiple sections of the first-year Introduction to the Study of Law course, and manages and oversees the first-year doctrinal tutoring program.

Jessica M. Aycock '20

Associate Director Jessica M. Aycock has a dedicated history of supporting law students in their academic and professional goals. As a Texas Tech Law student, she was a Contracts tutor for both her second and third years of law school, and she was a student attorney in the Innocence Project Clinical Program. Most recently, Jessica served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Lubbock County District Attorney's Office, and she continues to academically pursue her interests in criminal law, ethical prosecution and defense, and artificial intelligence use in legal practice. As the Associate Director of OASP, Jessica now provides academic support to students of all levels, helping them to achieve their legal education goals.
