Narcotics Anonymous
Uses the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Narcotics Anonymous. There are a variety
of regular meetings each week, nationwide. There are open and closed meetings available
to members, and there are no membership fees.

Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous holds closed and open meetings at various times, on each day
of the week. Alcohol-free living is achieved through the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics
Anonymous. Lubbock is in District IV of Alcoholics Anonymous Area 66, and membership
is free.

The Texas Tech University Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic (MFT) is an on campus service that provides a wide range of counseling opportunities, including everything for individual therapy, couples counseling, child counseling, new mother help, and so much. This affordable service provides clients with graduate level therapist under faculty supervision. MFT promotes a wide range of therapy techniques and addresses a wide range of problems. This confidential service is a great opportunity to receive nationally accredited services.

Massage Therapy at the Rec
The Rec offers massage therapy from licensed massage therapists for 1 hour or 30 minute
intervals. There is also chair massages available for a 1 hour massage. You have to
make the appointment at least 2 days in advance in the FitWell or by calling their
number to make an appointment. On the first Monday of every month, the rec offers
$5 off one-hour massages. Prices are: $40 for 1 hour, $25 for 30 minutes.

The Mind Spa is available to all students and faculty M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can call or stop by the Student Counseling center to make the appointment. The appointment lasts 45 minutes.

Mind Spa- Mind & Body Room
The Mind Spa offers Biofeedback programs that allow the user to practice coping strategies to manage stress. The biofeedback program measures stress levels through the user's heart rate and small electrical changes in the user's fingertips. The user practices breathing techniques that level the user's heartrate. Once the breathing and calming techniques are mastered, the user is exposed to several video game situations and each game is controlled based on how the user manages the user's stress level when exposed to different situations to test the coping mechanisms.

Mind Spa- Relaxation Room
"Our Relaxation Room provides many tools for stress management. The zero-gravity massage chair can help relieve muscle tension through a variety of massage styles and air pressure settings. The Zafu and Zabuton allow for a comfortable sitting position for meditation and reflection. The stress management Audio-Video Library contains recordings on a wide range of topics including yoga nidra, breathing exercises, guided imagery, affirmations, and meditation. The library also includes relaxing music and sounds such as singing bowls, ocean waves, and rain. The library's Video Journeys allow one to take a mini-vacation without leaving Lubbock. Finally, we offer Biofeedback software which teaches breathing and imagery techniques for managing stress at a physiological level."

Over-Eaters Anonymous
Over-Eaters Anonymous (OA) is a fellowship for individuals who are recovering from compulsive overeating. The primary purpose of OA is to abstain from compulsive eating and to carry the message of recovery through shared experience, strength, and hope. Anyone who wants to stop eating compulsively is welcome. There are no dues or membership fees.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) can help you reach your weight-loss goals by providing you with the tools, information, support, and accountability you need to be successful.
