Jenny Dees

Jenny Dees is a Senior Lecturer of Music Education at Texas Tech University. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's degree of Music Education at TTU. She has been fostering the growth of music majors and non-music majors in music education and arts integration for the past 25 years. She has taught music education and arts integration at the preschool, elementary, middle school, and collegiate levels in Oklahoma and Texas. Dees is in frequent demand as a clinician, presenter, and consultant on the local, state, and national levels. She was awarded the Texas Tech University "Professing Excellence Award" in 2017. In 2019 she was inducted to the TTU Teaching, Learning and Professional Development Center (TLPDC) Teaching Academy. Her main research interests include early child education, arts integration, curriculum development, and UDL in the music setting.
