Leobardo Guerrero

Dr. Leobardo Guerrero serves as the Coordinator of Group Piano Class at Texas Tech University School of Music. With nearly twenty years of teaching experience, he has instructed students in various settings, including private lessons and group piano classes. His experience includes teaching group piano class in the public-school system in Texas, from 4th to 12th grades. In addition to his teaching duties at Texas Tech University School of Music, he acts as the liaison between the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual and Performing Arts at Texas Tech and two Lubbock community piano programs, where he coordinates, oversees (Guadalupe Parkway Community Centers), and teaches (LISD High School piano program).
Dr. Guerrero has performed, presented and conducted research in different countries, with engagements in Mexico, USA, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, and Brazil.
Dr. Guerrero holds a Bachelor of Music from the National School of Music (UNAM) in Mexico City, Master of Music in Piano Performance from Emporia State University in Emporia Kansas, and a Ph.D. in Fine Arts with a concentration on Piano Pedagogy from Texas Tech University.
