graduate Certificate in Music Technology
The graduate certificate in Music Technology offers students the opportunity to develop
both technical and creative skills across a range of music-related fields, including
audio and video production, electronic musical instrument design, and software development.
Students will gain hands-on experience in recording, producing, and editing professional-quality
content, as well as exploring the creation of innovative products like synthesizers
and new electronic musical instruments.
Courses in this program cover essential topics such as acoustics, copyright and patent
laws, digital audio workstations (DAWs), studio and microphone techniques, computer
programming, soldering electronic components, and using CAD and 3D printer for designing
physical models. Each course is designed to build foundational knowledge and equip
students with practical skills for the rapidly evolving field of music technology.
This certificate not only enhances students technical expertise but also provides
a valuable credential that can open doors to a wide range of career opportunities.
The program is open to all TTU graduate students, regardless of prior formal training
in music.
