Masters of Music/Doctor of Music Arts in Conducting - wind

The Texas Tech University wind conducting program centers on the individual learning journey of each conductor, fostering the development of personal authenticity and artistic identity. Through a focus on pedagogy, rehearsal techniques, score study, and performance practice, students will explore and refine their unique approach to conducting. Emphasis is placed on reflective and experiential learning, encouraging each conductor to discover their own interpretive voice and leadership style. Students will gain practical experience through working with athletic and concert bands, new music ensembles, conducting classes, and other studio or campus performance groups.
