The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business proudly carried on its long-standing tradition: the revered Distinguished Alumni & Awards. This annual event celebrates the dedicated individuals and organizations spearheading bold achievements within their industries and communities.
Dean of the Rawls College Margaret L. Williams, Ph.D., presented five total awards, including the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Jerry S. Rawls Excellence in Business Award, the Distinguished Partner Award, and the Graduates of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) Award.
Distinguished Alumni
The Distinguished Alumni Award honors Rawls College alumni whose remarkable achievements have demonstrated admirable character and industry significance. This is the highest honor the Rawls College bestows upon alumni.
The 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award honorees are:

Jan Patschke – BBA, Marketing, 1973
In addition, Jans husband, Raymond Patschke – her partner in life and in business – received an Honorary Alumni Award.

Kim Ford – BBA, Accounting, 1983

Jagdip Singh – Ph.D. Business Administration, 1985

Scott Sureddin – BBA, Marketing, 1987
Jerry S. Rawls Excellence in Business
The Jerry S. Rawls Excellence in Business Award honors Texas Tech alumni whose contributory legacies left a memorable impression on the Rawls College, Texas Tech, their communities, and/or their industries. Recipients carry the Rawls College spirit into their daily lives, continuously striving for greatness.
The 2025 Jerry S. Rawls Excellence in Business Award honoree is:

Distinguished Partner
The Distinguished Partner Award honors non-alumni individuals and/or organizations who have prioritized Rawls College by hiring its alumni, mentoring its students, making a financial gift(s) to the college, and/or supporting its advancement initiatives.
The 2025 Distinguished Partner Award honoree is:

The Graduates of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.) Award honors outstanding Rawls College alumni who graduated within the last decade. Recipients established positive changes within their communities, professions, and/or the Rawls College through their early-career roles, leadership, and/or volunteer contributions. They reflect the high standards, esteemed values, and respectable character upheld by the Rawls College identity.
The 2025 G.O.L.D. Award honoree is:

Closing Remarks and Special Thanks
The Rawls College is proud to honor each of these recipients alongside their significant
involvement and impressive accomplishments. These notable individuals are paving the
