Bill Baer

Bill Baer, who has been an on-air personality in many markets throughout the country, is the owner of Baerclaw Productions, a full-service video promotion company capable of handling any project in-house from concept and creative through post-production. The company has produced video projects from 30-second commercials to corporate videos to broadcast programming. Its client list includes Bank of America, Qwest, Sun Microsystems, the Arthritis Foundation, the Arizona Attorney General's Office, the U.S. Small Business Administration, ABC News, CBS News, Fox Sports, Del Webb, the Mayo Clinic, Barrow Neurological Institute, Starwood Hotels, Marriot Hotels, the Arizona Department of Health Services, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Boys and Girls Club, the American Red Cross, Aids Project Arizona, and Cold Stone Creamery. For its work, Baerclaw Productions has been recognized by the Telly Awards, Aurora Awards, NATAS Emmy Awards, and Aegis Awards.

Baer earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism in 1988 from Texas Tech University. He began his career at Texas Tech as a sportscaster for KTXT-FM, where he was twice awarded outstanding sportscaster. He worked at KCBD-TV in Lubbock from 1987 to 1989 as the noon and 5 p.m. news anchor and the assistant sports director. He also has worked from 1989 to 1992 at WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC, where he was twice an Associated Press award winner in sports casting and a Dupont-Columbia award winner for his coverage of Hurricane Hugo. In 1992, he worked as a sports reporter and anchor in Phoenix, Ariz., for KTSP-TV. In 1993, he was assistant sports director at WLNE-TV in Providence, R.I., where he was an Emmy Award Nominee for Sports Special. In 1994, he was sports director and main news anchor for KPHO-TV in Phoenix, Ariz. After founding Baerclaw Productions in 1997, Baer also helped numerous non-profit and community-based organizations with public service announcements and fundraising videos, many of them offered pro bono.
